Made from solid carbide, each bit has both up cut and down cut flutes to provide a smooth cut to both the top and bottom side of your project.  This bit has the added feature of shorter up cut flutes, allowing the down shear cutting action to the top surface during shallow cuts.

• TOOL SPECS: Solid carbide, 3+3 mortise compression spiral with 1/2" cutting diameter, 1/2" shank, 1-5/8" cutting length, and 3-1/2" overall length for use in routers with a 1/2" collet.
• COMPRESSION SPIRAL: Features up cut and down cut edges for a chip-free finish on both the top and bottom of the cut, ensuring clean, precise results.
• UP AND DOWN CUT: Designed with up cut and down cut edges, this tool performs like two separate bits, providing the many benefits of both styles in one tool.
• MORTISE COMPRESSION: Mortise compression spirals feature a short up cut end flute. This design allows the down shear action to reach the top surface of the material during shallow cuts.
• MATERIAL: Perfect for plywood and laminate cuts where chipout is common. Also performs excellently in hardwoods and softwoods, providing clean, smooth cuts in various materials.
• MACHINES: Perfect for routing grooves, dados, trim, or through cuts. Best suited for CNC routers and higher feed rates.
